Why ‘cloudaware’?

A huge part of our daily time today is consumed by the ‘internet’ aka ‘the cloud’. This blog is an attempt to document, review and learn from various webservices that have made the ‘cloud’ a much more interesting place. One could say that these services are over populating ‘the cloud’ but there’s enough good examples out there to prove that these webservices are also making a difference to peoples lifestyles. ‘Cloudaware’ is a personal effort to stay aware and inform others of interesting happenings in and around ‘the cloud’.

The ‘cloud’ is an interesting place for sure, but so is the ecosystem of devices that surround it. We are particularly interested in ‘internet aware devices’. Our mobile phone is one such device – a small device that started off with the avatar of a communication device, is now anything and everything ‘you ‘ want it to be. Interestingly, today various devices are becoming a tangible passwords to enter ‘the cloud’ – our devices are our identity.

We believe that web services and devices will be a crucial part of our lives in the coming years and it is important to stay aware of this phenomenon. As User Experience Designers, we think it is very important to plan & design the ‘ecosystem’ and not just a single product or service.
